General Wissam El Hasan… Today is a red day, a national mourning day for the majority of the tiny nation of Lebanon.
This day was the day that General Wissam El Hasan was laid to rest beside the former prime minister of Lebanon Rafik Hariri, his previous prime minister and mentor as he was to thousands of Lebanese of all walks of life and sects.
Hariri was a phenomena in the world especially in the Arab world, not only he was a unique philanthropist who put many of the billionaires of the region to shame, in addition, he was a man in peace with himself, contempt and humane in all of what he did, and maybe that was why he was able to get himself out of an abstract poverty in his childhood to what he became and what he attained from high status internationally long before he was recognized as a leader in his home country…
The blood of Rafik Hariri was an elixir of life to Lebanon and is proving to be a deadly venom to those who assassinated him and slain his body to pieces in one of the deadliest car bombs ever executed in the Middle East since world war II.
It is repeated on many lips in Lebanon that if the blood of Hariri caused the withdrawal of the Syrian occupation forces from Lebanon, the blood of his assassinated disciple General Hasan will trigger the downfall of the Assad Regime in Syria!
General Hasan was the director of the information division which he helped establish as one of the most notable and successful intelligencia establishment in the present Middle East, his achievements well crowned with one success after the other making him a serious target to those plotting against Lebanon’s stability and national security ended up in his assassination on the 19th of October 2012 in the Ashrafie district within the vicinity of Beirut the capital city of Lebanon.
One cannot help but wonder what is going to happen next in this tiny country where the first alphabet originated from!
I smell a tsunami coming this way, and who knows what it will bring with it to the region which awaits the coming of the antichrist in any moment now…
Be safe people and be at peace with yourselves and with thy neighbor…
